What happens to your file
- Checked. We confirm it's a real JPG, PNG or WebP by reading its content, and fully decode it once to reject damaged or malicious files.
- Scanned. Every metadata block is read and listed: EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, PNG text, C2PA manifests and anything appended after the image.
- Cleaned. Those blocks are dropped while the compressed image data is copied unchanged. The colour profile stays so colours render the same.
- Verified. Both versions are decoded and compared pixel by pixel. Your original is discarded from memory.
- Delivered. You get a private download link that expires after 10 minutes.

About quality
Which formats are supported?
Images: JPG/JPEG, PNG (including animated PNG) and WebP (lossy, lossless and animated), up to 25 MB each, 20 at a time. Video: MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, MKV and AVI, up to 500 MB, one at a time so each clip gets the whole machine.
Will removing metadata reduce image quality?
No. We never re-encode your image. The engine rewrites the file container and drops only metadata blocks, while the compressed image data is copied byte for byte. Before a file is offered for download, we decode both versions and compare every pixel. If a single pixel differed, you would get an error instead of a file.
Why is the cleaned file slightly smaller?
Because the metadata is gone. A photo from a phone often carries 20–60 KB of EXIF data and an embedded preview. An AI image can carry a signed Content Credentials manifest of 20 KB or more. The image data itself is unchanged.
Will my colours or orientation change?
No. We keep the ICC colour profile, because removing it can shift colours on wide-gamut images, and it contains no personal information. We also keep a single orientation flag when your photo needs one, so portrait phone photos don't appear sideways. Nothing else survives.
